About these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Guru Dhigvandanam for iOS and Android and its related services, provided by Amara Datta Dola (“we”, “us”). By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it.
You must be able to agree to these terms under applicable law. If you are a minor, use the app with a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision where required.

A companion for devotional practice
Guru Dhigvandanam supports personal devotional practice through direction guidance, Darshan, Stotram, Japam, progress tracking, reminders, and public event information. Features and content may differ by platform, device, region, and app version.
Devotional content is provided for spiritual and informational use. The app does not promise any particular spiritual, health, or other outcome and is not a substitute for professional advice.

Permission to use the app
Subject to these terms and applicable app-store rules, you may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control.
- Use the app lawfully and respect the rights of others.
- Do not interfere with its services, bypass access controls, introduce harmful code, or use automated requests that disrupt the service.
- Do not misrepresent your identity, access another person’s account, or redistribute content without permission.
These restrictions do not limit activities that applicable law expressly permits.

Optional accounts and your progress
Google sign-in is optional. You are responsible for keeping your account and device secure and for activity you authorize. Let us know if you suspect unauthorized use.
Signing in can link installation-based devotional history with your account and restore synced progress on another device. Sync depends on connectivity and service availability; it may be delayed or incomplete. Streaks and practice counts are personal tracking aids and are not a guaranteed permanent record.
You may sign out or delete your app account from Settings. Deletion and local-device data are explained in the Privacy Policy.

Directions, events, and reminders
Compass readings depend on device sensors, calibration, magnetic interference, and location accuracy. Destination information and event schedules can change or be out of date. Verify travel and event details with the organizer before relying on them.
Sunrise and sunset calculations are estimates for the requested location. Notification timing and sound depend on permissions, device settings, battery management, operating-system limits, and the app’s saved schedule. Delivery or sound at an exact time is not guaranteed.
Use direction guidance safely. Do not interact with the app while driving or where distraction could cause harm. It is not an emergency, navigation-safety, or critical-reminder service.

Content and intellectual property
The app’s software, design, artwork, recordings, and other protected materials belong to their respective owners or licensors. Using the app does not transfer ownership or grant rights beyond personal use and any sharing feature expressly provided.
Where the app lets you share a card, you are responsible for the information included and the destination you select. Respect the rights attached to devotional recordings, images, and third-party material. Contact us with any ownership or copyright concern, identifying the content and the basis of your request.

External services and app stores
The app may use Google sign-in, sun-time services, maps, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, and other external links. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. Their availability, subscriptions, fees, content, and playback restrictions are controlled by their providers. You are responsible for any mobile-data or third-party subscription charges you choose to incur.
Your use of the iOS app is also subject to applicable Apple App Store terms; your use of the Android app is subject to applicable Google Play terms. These terms do not replace store rules or any applicable platform license agreement. Apple and Google are not responsible for operating our devotional service or providing our support.

The Privacy Policy explains how we handle account information, devotional history, location, service analytics, and deletion requests across iOS and Android. Please read it alongside these terms.

Changes and service availability
We may update, add, change, or discontinue features or content, including to improve the app, address security issues, or respond to provider changes. We aim to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, or legal requirements. Where appropriate and permitted, we will provide notice. You can stop using the app at any time.

Our responsibility to you
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without additional warranties of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the app, including reliance on inaccurate directions, missed reminders, or unavailable third-party services.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or takes away mandatory consumer rights available to you.

Updates to these terms
We may revise these terms when the app or its operation changes. We will publish the revised text and update the date above, with additional notice where required by law. Continued use after revised terms take effect means you accept them, subject to any consent requirements under applicable law.
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
